The Harvest Collection

The Harvest Collection was born from a topic close to my heart: the harvesting and distribution of fresh vegetables and fruit to community members in need—in particular, food that would otherwise go to waste. In following my heart, I am proud to have co-founded the grassroots San Luis Obispo non-profit, GleanSLO in 2010.

In the years that followed, I had the opportunity to work alongside so many generous volunteers, and to document their efforts and the bountiful—and to my eye, uniquely beautiful!— food that was harvested and distributed throughout San Luis Obispo County. GleanSLO gave all of us involved the chance to see healthy food at its source, and make a real difference in our community.

Abundant real food at its source is a joy! Through the Harvest Collection, I wanted to celebrate the wonderful textures, colors, and variation of produce in a way you just don’t see at the supermarket. Isn’t nature amazing?!
