The Radiant Collection
When I photograph flowers, I think of them as floral portraits. I let their light shine as I do with my portraits of people. This is true for all my floral images, but it is most evident in the individual flower close ups featured in my Radiant Collection.
When working with a single stem, I’m drawn first by color and the complete bloom, as we all so often are! But I soon move beyond that initial appeal to the intricate structure and form of the flower. Flowers are such captivating works of design and texture, often so complex while looking deceptively simple.
Once I become absorbed in the unique and radiant personality of a given flower, it’s hard for me to pull back and photograph the full bloom! I want to show people—through my images—the detailed structure and beauty of nature that is ours to appreciate, every day.
